As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been reflecting on what an incredible year this has been. At the start of 2025, Anchor & Ink Publishing was only an idea—something I felt called to build, something rooted in faith, service, and a love for the written word. Today, it’s a thriving part of my daily life, and I’m deeply grateful for the clients who have trusted me with their books, their stories, and sometimes even their hearts.
I’ve had the privilege of working with writers from all walks of life—memoirists, devotional writers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers who simply needed someone to believe in their message. Each project has reminded me why I started Anchor & Ink in the first place: to help bring meaningful, hope-filled, powerful stories into the world.
One of the biggest joys this year has been working on FBI Family Story through the full writing, editing and publishing process. We just cleared the final hurdle, and this book—decades of memories and history—will be released very soon. What a journey it has been! There were multiple emails coordinating and correcting formatting, creating the cover, sorting through hundreds of photos and figuring out placement of those photos and plenty of coffee-fueled proofreads, but seeing it come to life is something I’ll always be thankful for. I can’t wait to share this book.
More than anything, I’m grateful to do work I truly love. Work that lets me support authors, cheer on their creativity, and celebrate each milestone right alongside them. Not everyone gets to spend their days shaping meaningful stories, and I don’t take that blessing lightly.
As we head into the holiday season, I hope you find yourself surrounded by warmth, good food, and people who make you feel at home. May your Thanksgiving be full of gratitude, joy, and maybe even a good book or two.
From my family to yours—Happy Thanksgiving!
With gratitude and love,
Lisa
